"Summer Mode"...It's a real thing!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Hey, y'all! Hopefully you've been enjoying your summer break. To those of you that just started summer break--ENJOY! I have been MIA for about a month on my blog. I didn't think it was possible  to physically be away from posting anything for this long, but it can happen. (Get it together, Breanna!)

Disclaimer: My brain has been running about 100 mph, so I apologize in advance if the post jumps back and forth and seems extremely random! :) Welcome to my world, everyone! ;)

I have realized that summer has two very different meanings for different people. Some completely disconnect themselves from anything and everything school related. Then there are some people that still work constantly because they can't turn their brain off. I would be that person. Granted I am moving grades and schools, but I don't have an off switch. I wish I did, but I don't. With that being said, I am getting so much done in my new room. I cannot wait to show you guys my new room. I didn't change my theme because it will be perfect for my kinders, but things definitely will look a little different!

By the way: how adorable is my blog change?! Gabby's Classrooms is ah-maz-ing. She is so great to work with and fixed everything to match my sweet new name:

{A Pinch of Primary- Teaching with sugar, spice, and saying everything twice!}

Throughout the summer, I have been working away at the #TpTSellerChallenge hosted by the lovely ladies of Peppy Zesty Teacherista, Third in Hollywood, Teach Create Motivate, and Sparkling in Second. This is SO MUCH FUN!

{Roll Call}
We started week 1 with a Stats Roll Call. This was slightly embarrassing when looking at it all together, but I had to take a step back and realize that I'm 23, I've only been out of college a year, and I'm a first year, going to be second year, teacher. Here's a glimpse at my beginning stats:

{Week 1 Challenge}
Our first challenge was to makeover a product I had been mustering over the idea at the end of May to redo some of my not so attractive products and give them a new, fresh look. Enter the TpT Seller Challenge a month later and voila.....Challenge #1! I started making over my Clock Buddies and then I couldn't stop. I just kept going and going. This challenge helped me change two more of my products into something fabulous!

{Week 2 Challenge}
Our second, and current, challenge is something very serious and thought provoking. It is all about our dreams as teachers, sellers, and people. When completing this, I sat back and I really thought about what my hopes and dreams are. I made a list and I thought, "Am I really going to make these happen? Are these too cliche?" When I thought about my answer, I remembered that even if things are cliche, they can still be important. Just because 7 out of 10 of them might be similar doesn't mean these dreams are not truthful and near and dear to someone's heart. I narrowed my list to my top 5 and here is what I came up with:

-one-
Travel: I love to see new places and create memories. It is important to me to take time to travel, relax, and see all these beautiful places I see pictures of.

-two-
Start a family someday: I cannot wait to be married and be a mommy. I may not be ready right now, but I know when the time is right I will be ready. I want nothing more than to have a healthy, loving family.

-three-
Continue to learn, create, and share: I am the type of person that loves to constantly try new things to make myself better. This applies to my job everyday. I love learning. I love creating things for myself and others. I love sharing how things worked for me, how they didn't, or how I became better because of it.

-four-
Attend TpT Vegas: I so badly wanted to go this year, but I didn't make that happen. Like I stated above, I love learning and I love being surrounded by people who are passionate and make you feel like you can do/teach anything when you leave.

-five-
Grow my blog and TpT store: I have such big dreams for myself as a blogger and a TpT author. I want to be someone that people think "I'm going to look at her store/blog because she might have something to help me out!" because that is exactly how I think when I am looking for something as a teacher.

I would love to hear all about how you "Dare to Dream"!
