....and it's June....

Hello, strangers!

When I thought I was going to post my journey step-by-step of student teaching, I had this beautiful picture of weekly reflections to share with you all. Boy, was I wrong?! Student teacher Rule #1: You will not have a life outside of classroom prep and college key-assessments! This is where I was completely thrown off. I absolutely love the idea of blogging and sharing my successes and failures (we all have those right?!), but it is something that I have to schedule into my week. I will make it a point to do this in my own classroom!

I need to take a deep breath before typing this. Who knew a person could go over some of the most important 6 months of their life in about a minute?....

Let's recap the first 6 months of 2014....

We didn't go back to school January 16th as planned thanks to the that gem of a snowstorm!
We didn't have a full day of school until February.
My first graders are the absolute best students I could have ever asked for.
My cooperating teacher, Lisa, was A-MAZ-ING! We were like two peas in a pod (and she was my 2nd grade teacher--SO cool, right?)! :)
I never thought I could learn so many little and big tips and tricks during student teaching!
Spring Break was so relaxing spent with our normal group of tons of family and friends!
By April I realized I only had 4 more weeks with my kiddos and that I had completed ALL of my college assignments! (celebratory pat on the back and maybe some silent LOUD cheering)
May 2nd: Saying good-bye to my students was so hard. They had the most beautiful party planned for me. Who knew 1st graders could be so sneaky? They had each given me a gift to represent the letter of the alphabet. The amazing 1st grade teachers pitched in, too! (I was with such an amazing group!)
May 14th: I HAVE A JOB INTERVIEW & I GRADUATE COLLEGE! Bachelor's of Science from Indiana University in Elementary Education K-6 (WOO HOO!)
   May 20th: Good news..... (shhhhh!)
Too much waiting and way too much anticipation....
We made it to June! How is it already June? Get to the point, Breanna!
June 16th: The long-awaited day, which will be discussed in the next post! :)

Here's a look into some of my favorite pictures from student teaching!

Can you believe they put this all together for me?! I was in absolute tears!

This might not be as exciting to you as it is to me, but these 6 months were ABSOLUTELY STELLAR! I cried, I laughed, and I learned A LOT!

Here's to new experiences and a career that I am dying to start!
